We’re a queer horror project seeking a skilled, experienced, and talented reality tv editor.

Project begins July 11 and will December 19 (23 weeks).

Here’s what we’re looking for in an editor:

-proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
-proficient in After Effects
-proficient in Photoshop
-has editing experience with 5-6 camera angles
-has a strong sense of quick and peppy pacing, knowing when to “cut the fat” out of an edit
-has a strong sense of storytelling, comedic timing, and can make strong editing choices/decisions.
-can edit montages as well as reality portions of the show
-has worked with polywav audio files and is comfortable with isolating and muting tracks
-understands codecs and containers
-has a clear understanding of the export process
-can handle ingest of new media, including tagging metadata and organizing footage on the server, drives, and the cloud
-works well under intense pressure
-is a fast learner

Responsibilities include:
-Learns the ins and outs of our server system, complete a training session
-DIT during production - taking media from cam assist and ingesting on to server
-scheduling overnight backups of all footage and files to the cloud and to hard drives
-organizing and tagging metadata of each file dependent on its content
-preparing timelines for lead editors - trimming fat off footage, laying out footage sequentially, completing pre-edits
-sitting with lead editors and learning the style and tone of the project
-completing major sections of the project in a timely manner that meets deadlines
-assisting with delivery of project to sound and color
-assisting with assembly of final product and delivery of final product to the network.
